Varroa mite persists in damaging beekeeping on Mid North Coast.

Two beekeepers from the Mid North Coast have developed a pain scale for bee stings, rating them from a maximum of 10 on the face to a minimum of 2 on the arm. They suggest that more painful stings are preferable, especially given the ongoing challenges posed by varroa mites in the region. The varroa mite continues to significantly impact local beekeepers.
