Climate Change Increases Bee Deaths

Prof. Dr. Aslı Özkırım stated that climate change negatively affects the health of bees. A faculty member of the Biology Department at Hacettepe University and the Director of the Bee and Bee Products Application and Research Center, Prof. Dr. Aslı Özkırım noted that climate change has increased mass bee deaths. Özkırım expressed that in recent years, climate change has adversely affected the health of bees. She explained that the imbalances in the seasons have stressed the bees and that this year they have lost more than 50% of the bee population in Turkey.
