The Ministry's Recommendation to Beekeepers: "Beekeeping Tourism"

The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has advised the beekeeping sector, which is adversely affected by factors such as climate change and agricultural chemicals, to turn to alternative income sources such as value-added products other than honey and beekeeping tourism. According to the Beekeeping Products Report of the General Directorate of Agricultural Reform, Turkey stands out in global beekeeping due to its rich vegetation, climate structure, and suitable geographical location. Regional and unique honey varieties such as flower, pine, and chestnut honey attract attention in Turkish beekeeping.
