Flood Disaster in Artvin: Hives Damaged

Following the 'yellow' coded warning issued by the General Directorate of Meteorology for the Eastern Black Sea region between September 19-21, the heavy rainfall had a negative impact on life throughout Artvin. The rains, which caused floods and landslides, closed many village roads and destroyed some bridges. In the Borçka district, where rainfall reached up to 200 kilograms per square meter, rising streams caused flooding. Citizens stranded in high-altitude areas where transportation was not possible were evacuated by military helicopters.
