Call for Support for Value-Added Products in the Turkish Beekeeping Sector

Ziya Şahin, President of the Turkish Beekeepers Central Union (TAB), emphasized the need to increase and support the production of value-added products in the beekeeping sector. Şahin stated that projects from the Agricultural and Rural Development Support Institution (TKDK) should be channeled into the field of beekeeping.

Şahin noted that beekeeping is carried out by families and requested that there be no gender discrimination in support. He highlighted that beekeeping is conducted in geographically suitable areas according to provinces, thus it is important to treat beekeepers as migratory beekeepers and provide fuel support.
