Statement from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry regarding inspections of imported animals and disease-free enterprises

Ankara Agriculture and Forestry Directorate announced that "Administrative sanctions and investigation processes have been initiated by our Provincial Directorate regarding personnel and enterprises with responsibilities" concerning the inspections of imported animals and disease-free enterprises reported in some media outlets.

The Provincial Agriculture and Forestry Directorate made a written statement regarding the inspections of imported animals and disease-free enterprises conducted in cooperation with the ministry. The statement said, "Recently, some media and social media channels have made distorted and misleading shares regarding the inspections of imported animals and disease-free enterprises conducted jointly by our ministry and our Provincial Directorate. Therefore, it has been deemed necessary to share the following matters with the public. On 31.12.2025, the animal population and operating conditions of the mentioned enterprise regarding its disease-free status were examined on-site by our District Directorate and the responsible personnel of our ministry in Sincan district of our province," it was stated.
