In the event held in the garden of the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, Provincial Director Alpaslan KENGER stated that Erzurum's high altitude, rich meadow and pasture resources, and diverse honey plant varieties present a high potential for beekeeping. Emphasizing that one of the strongest factors making Erzurum unique in beekeeping, aside from honey plants and suitable conditions for apiculture, is the absence of pollution and the use of polluting pesticides and environmental factors in agricultural activities, Kenger said, "The Erzurum Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry supports organic beekeeping activities that highlight this difference as a unique value in production."
