The honey produced in the fertile plateaus of Van was awarded the "Golden Honey" prize at the 3rd International Apitherapy and Nature Congress held in Azerbaijan.

In the competition held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, with over 100 varieties of honey from India, Russia, Pakistan, Turkey, and Azerbaijan, the honey sent from the Gürpınar district of Van won first place in the "multifloral honey" category.

The high-value honey produced by the bees belonging to Emrullah Salçuk in the high-altitude plateaus of the Norduz region, which has rich vegetation, was deemed worthy of the "Golden Honey" award.
