The Aegean Fisheries and Animal Products Exporters' Association has launched a 24-month R&D project to reflect Turkey's production power in pine honey to exports. The goal is to increase honey exports to 250 million dollars.
Turkey ranks second in the world with nearly 100,000 tons of honey production, while it is 18th in exports with 33.5 million dollars. Representing about 90% of the world's pine honey production, Turkey's sector representatives have taken a new step to reflect the production power in export revenues.
