The Conservation Collective and Civil Society Support Foundation have launched the “Climate Resilient and Sustainable Bee Pastures Pilot Implementation Project” with support from the Turquoise Coast Environment Fund – Turkey, and our work continues.
As part of the project activities, we held a series of academic meetings to assess the current situation in the region, gather expert opinions, and share information prior to the “Marmaris Region Climate Change, Beekeeping, and Bee Pastures Workshop.”
During these meetings with esteemed academics, we discussed the effects of climate change on beekeeping activities, the enhancement of climate resilience in beekeeping practices in the pilot areas of the project, which include the villages of Osmaniye, Bayır, Turgut, and Orhaniye in Marmaris, the development of biodiversity, and new sustainable production models.
We would like to thank all the academics who contributed valuable insights before the workshop to be held in April.
