Bee Attack in Iğdır! A total of 400 sheep perished

A flock of sheep taken to the highlands in Iğdır was attacked by bees. As the panicked animals fell into an irrigation canal and trampled each other, initial reports indicate that 400 sheep perished, and 5 people were injured by bee stings.

According to the information obtained, approximately 4,000 small livestock belonging to Çetin Naral, who was on his way to the highlands, encountered an area with about 200 beehives between the villages of Hakmehmet and Ağaver, where they were attacked by bees. With the onset of the bee attack, the sheep and lambs began to panic and flee. The uncontrolled flock fell into another empty canal beneath the irrigation canal in the area, trampling each other. As a result of the chaos, initial reports indicate that 400 sheep perished. Five people who were exposed to the bee attack during the incident were also injured. The injured were taken to Iğdır State Hospital for treatment by health teams dispatched to the scene. Security measures were taken by gendarmerie teams in the area, and an investigation into the incident was initiated.
