DUZCE (IHA) – In the Yığılca district of Düzce, an annual average of 502 tons of honey and 14.5 tons of beeswax are produced from 58,000 beehives.

In order to preserve genetic diversity, inspections and controls were carried out in the beekeeping operations in Yığılca district by the Düzce Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry and the General Directorate of Agricultural Research and Policies, as part of the "Integrated Project for the Conservation and Sustainable Use of Domestic Animal Genetic Resources" developed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.

The contribution of beekeeping is significant
