Erdemli district of Mersin faced an unexpected natural event on July 19, 2025. İsken Mevkii, one of the high-altitude plateaus in the district at an altitude of 1700 meters, was affected by heavy rainfall around 4:00 PM. The rain, which quickly intensified, turned the dry riverbed in the area into a flood. With the sudden rise in the flow of İsken Stream, the overflowing waters caused significant destruction in the vicinity.
