HABER49-Cemil Kotan, who dedicates more time to beekeeping after retirement, initially started their production with 4-5 hives and developed it with the 40 hives they received under state support. Over time, the couple increased the number of hives to 150, but due to bee losses this year, the number has fallen back to over 100.

Kotan stated that they provided syrup to the bees as support due to insufficient nectar formation in nature caused by rainy weather, and expressed that they will continue this practice until the nectar flow begins.

Kotan mentioned that they produced over 1 ton of honey last year and stated that if suitable weather conditions continue, they aim to increase production to 2 tons this year.
