The Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality continues its support for beekeepers within the framework of the Balıkesir Model in Agriculture. Fondant cakes produced by the Metropolitan Municipality were distributed to producers with 100% grant support.

The Fondant Cake Distribution Ceremony held in Cumhuriyet Square was attended by Balıkesir Metropolitan Mayor Ahmet Akın, Balıkesir Agricultural Chamber President Rahmi Demirbay, Metropolitan Municipality officials, producers, and citizens.

In his speech at the ceremony, Mayor Ahmet Akın stated that Balıkesir is one of Turkey's important beekeeping centers and mentioned that they are working to reduce the financial burden on producers and support rural development.
