Tracking Honeybees with Drone Technology
According to НВ — Техно: German researchers deployed a drone equipped with the Fast Lock-On (FLO) Tracking system to monitor honeybees in flight. Their findings show that each bee follows a unique, preferred route with remarkable consistency, relying on visual landmarks for navigation. Analysis of 255 flight trajectories revealed deviations of just a few centimeters from their established paths, with the largest variations occurring over a cornfield.
