Varroa mite has arrived in the region.

The Masters Family, owners of Dalrymple View Honey in Allora, have been managing Varroa Mites since their arrival in Australia. Sharon Masters stated that beekeepers must adapt to this new reality by conducting mite tests every few weeks. Recently, their son Cameron discovered 30 mites in a hive that had previously tested negative five weeks earlier.
