Minagri and Agroseguros are urging beekeepers to protect their hives through the Apicultural Insurance program. The base subsidy from Agroseguros covers 40% of the total policy cost, with users of the Agricultural Development Institute (INDAP) eligible for an additional subsidy of up to 75% on the non-subsidized portion. This insurance is available from Coquimbo to Los Lagos and offers basic coverage for events such as heavy rain, snow, strong winds, fire, and earthquakes, along with additional options for agricultural drought, volcanic eruptions, theft, and transport.
