President José María Balcázar has enacted a law that designates beekeeping and pollination as strategic agricultural activities in Peru. This legislation establishes the National Beekeeping System and the National Pollinator Registry. The announcement was made during the First International Global Pollination Forum - Agrofest 2026.

The law aims to fully support the development of the beekeeping sector, agricultural exports, and honey production across various regions of Peru.
