The first honey harvest has been completed as part of a beekeeping project aimed at supporting agricultural development in Ömerli, Mardin. The harvest took place in the rural Taşgedik neighborhood, attended by District Governor Furkan Çakır, Mayor Hüsamettin Altındağ, and District Agriculture and Forestry Director Kadri Tutak. Producers, who completed both theoretical and practical training at the Applied Beekeeping Training Center, harvested their initial honey from hives provided with support from various local authorities, including the GAP Administration and Mardin Governorate. Approximately 100 honey producers are active in the district, contributing to both quality honey production and family incomes through the project.
