A tragic incident occurred in Çullu Mahallesi, Kırıkkale, where 72-year-old retired banker Niyazi Çelik died after being attacked by a swarm of bees while tending to his hives. This unusual event highlights the dangers associated with beekeeping, particularly the importance of protective gear and the risk of allergic reactions. Following his retirement, Çelik had turned his beekeeping hobby into a more serious pursuit.

The incident took place last Thursday when Çelik, who had enjoyed a peaceful life after leaving the banking sector, went outdoors for routine hive maintenance. While attending to his bees, he was unexpectedly attacked by a large number of aggressive bees for reasons that remain unclear.
