Residents seek shelter as swarms of bees invade Israeli skies.

Tens of thousands of bees swarmed parts of Israel on Wednesday, prompting bystanders to seek shelter and evoking images of a biblical plague. Videos shared online show a massive number of bees inside a mall, with the swarm extending several feet in all directions. Residents and shop owners were urged to secure their doors and windows as bees were also spotted in Netivot, including on residential balconies and at commercial areas. This unprecedented swarm, the largest recorded in Israel, even obstructed a military plane's takeoff by swarming its engine and wing.
