New generation of beekeepers faces tough Irish honeybee challenge

Young beekeepers from around the globe are currently facing the challenge of inspecting "aggressive" Irish honeybees in an international competition. Approximately 75 participants from 27 countries are competing in the International Meeting of Young Beekeepers (IMYB), taking place in Northern Ireland for the first time. Elija from Austria, who manages 15 hives with his mother, noted that while there are similarities, the Irish bees exhibit a "little bit more aggression" than those he tends to at home.
