A land fire in the former military area of Susurluk, Balıkesir, caused significant panic among residents. The cause of the fire, which spread rapidly due to wind, remains undetermined. When the flames reached the area where a local beekeeper's hives were located, substantial financial losses occurred.

The fire ignited in the shrubland around noon, prompting citizens to alert the 112 Emergency Call Center. Firefighting teams from the Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality were dispatched to the scene. The fire quickly expanded due to dry grass and shrubs, aided by the wind, prompting teams to work hard to prevent it from reaching residential areas and nearby forests.
