Artvin has officially announced the honey base purchase prices for 2026, with chestnut honey priced at 3,500 TL per kilogram. The Honey Pricing Commission, coordinated by the Artvin Commodity Exchange, set these prices based on production costs, laboratory analyses, quality criteria, and geographical indication efforts. These prices are closely monitored by thousands of beekeepers in the region, particularly those producing chestnut honey.

The base purchase prices for various honey types in 2026 are as follows: Flower Honey at 1,900 TL/kg, Chestnut Honey at 3,500 TL/kg, Forest Rose Honey at 2,600 TL/kg, and Linden Honey at 2,000 TL/kg. Additionally, honey produced using the traditional black hive method will incur a 30% surcharge on the announced base prices.
