Bee colony moved to new location from Central Park in Henderson.

HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – A bee colony found in a tree at Central Park has been successfully relocated. After the discovery last week, city officials cordoned off the area. Once the hive was exposed, the bees calmed down and ceased swarming. The queen bee was captured and placed in a relocation box outside the tree, prompting the rest of the colony to follow her throughout the day and night. The previously closed area has now reopened.
