This marks the 79th day of the protest initiated by local villagers in Çalıdere village, which will directly impact 16 surrounding villages. The project has seen significant participation and solidarity visits, with slogans like "Varto is green and will remain green" and "Don't touch my water, land, or air." The beekeepers stated, "We have come to take over the vigil as Vartolu beekeepers. We engage in beekeeping and production in the area. We understand the harm geothermal energy would cause, and if it proceeds, beekeepers will be the first affected. Therefore, we do not want geothermal energy in our region."
