Working Together To Grow The Bee Population

WARREN COUNTY, OH -- Research indicates a decline in the bee population, with a Honey Bee Health Coalition study revealing that commercial beekeepers lost 1.6 million colonies, averaging a 62% loss from June 2024 to March 2025. This decline poses a significant threat to agricultural pollination. In response, various scientists and organizations are collaborating to enhance bee populations. Locally, the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden's Bowyer Farm has partnered with the Warren County Ohio Beekeepers Association to create a supportive environment for honey bees and an educational site for the community.
