Experiencing Beekeeping: A Day with Bee Box Honey

SUGAR CITY — EastIdahoNews.com is featuring various careers, including a visit to Bee Box Honey in Rexburg with beekeeper Steve Spencer. Since 2021, Spencer and his family have managed over 300 hives in Madison County, tending to the bees throughout the year. As he prepares to sell honey for the first time in 2026, we visited Sugar City to learn about backyard beekeeping. Despite the risk of stings, it was a fascinating experience to don protective gear and explore the intricate process of honey production.
