Study Suggests CBD Could Enhance Honeybee Immune System Resilience

A recent study published in the journal Molecules by researchers from the University of Life Sciences in Lublin suggests that cannabidiol (CBD) supplementation may enhance the immune defenses of honeybees. The research aimed to assess how CBD extract affects the proteolytic system and total protein levels on the cuticular surface of worker bees. One-day-old marked workers were placed into established colonies divided into three groups: CSy (CBD in sugar syrup), CSt (CBD-soaked strip), and C (control with pure syrup).
