Traveling beekeepers from various provinces are working diligently in Edirne to produce sunflower and blackthorn honey. These beekeepers spend most of the year away from home in different regions, choosing Edirne during the sunflower blooming season. They set up their hives in the agricultural fields of the local villages and stay in tents and caravans. After starting production in May, these beekeepers will migrate to other areas following the honey extraction at the end of the month.
