In the İdil district of Şırnak, 53 beekeepers are producing natural honey with approximately 65 million bees across 6,273 registered hives. The foothills of Alem Mountain, known for its rich endemic flora, have become a key area for honey production in the region.

The diverse plant life, including nefel, clover, thistle, and yellow thistle, allows bees to gather high-quality nectar. This variety enables producers to obtain pure and additive-free honey each year. Abdullah Şavlı, president of the İdil Beekeeping Development Association, noted that the 53 beekeepers operate in 30 villages, emphasizing the quality of honey produced thanks to the endemic plants around Alem Mountain.
