On July 27, 2026, a practical training session for beekeepers was organized by the İnegöl District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry in Bursa. The aim was to enhance beekeeping activities and inform producers. The event was attended by İnegöl District Governor Ayhan Akpay, Bursa Forest Regional Director Erdal Şahan, İnegöl Deputy Mayor Hasan Aydın, and several other officials and beekeepers.

During the program, Regional Director Erdal Şahan highlighted that the General Directorate of Forestry provides technical beekeeping loans through ORKÖY projects to diversify income sources for forest villagers and increase honey production in Turkey. He also mentioned the establishment of honey forests to support sustainable beekeeping and quality honey production.
