Didier Guépéroux has been beekeeping for nearly 20 years, starting as an amateur at the Jardin du Luxembourg after completing an annual training course. His passion grew, leading him to work for two years with 2,500 hives before making beekeeping his profession for the last decade.

He installed his hives at the Musée de la Carte à Jouer just under 10 years ago, benefiting from the city's diverse flora year-round. After assessing the best locations, he placed hives on the museum's roof and in various spots around Issy-les-Moulineaux, including the Espace Jeunes Anne-Franck and Île Saint-Germain. With support from the museum and the city, there are now six hives at the museum and about twenty throughout the area.
