Beekeepers in Şavşat, Artvin, are expressing concerns that despite producing honey of international quality, Şavşat honey lacks brand recognition and thus fails to achieve its deserved economic value. They aim to establish a presence in the international market with value-added bee products.

Mustafa Faruk Altun, President of the Istanbul Şavşat Associations Federation, stated to ANKA News Agency that the total activity (TA) value of Şavşat honey is competitive with high-quality honeys worldwide. He emphasized that the biggest shortcoming is the lack of brand value, which hinders proper promotion and marketing of Şavşat honey, despite its quality.
