The Ankara Metropolitan Municipality continues its support program for beekeepers as part of rural development initiatives. A total of 5,000 modern beehives, provided with a 50% subsidy, have been distributed to producers across 25 districts. The municipality aims to promote rural production through these beekeeping supports, with the Rural Services Department overseeing the distribution of these hives throughout 2026. The program includes double-layer hives with 20 frames, aimed at reducing the financial burden on beekeepers, encouraging the use of modern equipment, and increasing honey production efficiency.
