On July 30, 2026, Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality provided a fondant bee feed machine worth approximately 2.5 million lira to the Honey Producers Union. This initiative will benefit thousands of beekeepers across seven districts. The project, aimed at supporting the beekeeping sector, was formalized through a protocol signed by Trabzon Metropolitan Mayor Ahmet Metin Genç and Akçaabat Honey Producers Union President İsmail Şar. The machine is expected to enable beekeepers to produce bee feed more quickly, economically, and efficiently, particularly during spring and autumn.
