Minister visits spinning mill and beekeepers association in Kanniyakumari

Minister M. Vijay Balaji visited the Kanniyakumari District Cooperative Spinning Mills in Aralvaimozhi and the Periyarasingan Street Primary Handloom Weavers Cooperative Society in Vadasery, accompanied by Principal Secretary T.N. Venkatesh and Collector M. Prathap. He noted that the spinning mill, established in 1965, operates with 22,800 spindles producing various yarn types and employs 244 workers, including 62 permanent staff. The minister reviewed the mill's production capacity, yarn quality, and machinery operations, and mentioned plans to address the demand for permanent positions for temporary workers with the Chief Minister.
