Sinop University aims to enhance honey production quality and provide hygienic filling services by supporting beekeepers with modern facilities. A new era for honey producers in Sinop has begun with the establishment of a Honey Filling Facility under the university's Natural Products Application and Research Center.

The facility successfully completed its first filling operation using chestnut honey produced by beekeeper Şenol Aksoy from Ayancık district. This process, overseen by Metin Oktay Fındık, President of the Sinop Beekeepers Union, and Dr. Recep Aykan, Director of the Natural Products Application and Research Center, marks a significant step towards ensuring hygienic and standardized honey filling in the region.
