The Burgos Provincial Council recognizes beekeeping as a vital activity for the agro-food sector, highlighting its often-overlooked environmental value, according to Deputy Manuel Villanueva. This morning, they announced a grant program for individuals maintaining 25 or more hives, regardless of their professional status. The initiative will have a budget of €20,000, offering €3 per hive, with a maximum of €2,000 per beekeeper. The application period will open soon after the publication in the Official Bulletin of the Province. Villanueva noted that the program may be adjusted in the coming years based on its evolution, emphasizing the intention for ongoing support.
