Honey harvesting has commenced in Akkışla following the end of the highland season in July, which began in June. Osman Çoker, a beekeeper in Berçin Plateau, reported that they have started collecting the first honey from their hives after significant effort throughout the season. Increased rainfall has positively impacted the flower population, enhancing both the yield and quality of honey this year. The beekeeping season in Akkışla's high-altitude plateaus began in June and concluded at the end of July, with honey harvesting now underway in August, a crucial period for local producers. The first extraction from hives placed in various plateaus, particularly Berçin, took place last week.
