In celebration of National Honey Day, established on August 6, 2009, the Arica and Parinacota Region highlighted the importance of local beekeeping. This observance aims to acknowledge the efforts of family farmers, raise awareness about the crucial role of pollination in biodiversity, and promote the consumption of natural hive products. Currently, there are eight registered beekeepers in the region, as per the Agricultural and Livestock Service (SAG).
