Honey harvesting has commenced in Kars as the 2026 honey season nears its end. Barış Karadeniz, a beekeeper from Aydınalan village with nearly 30 years of experience, has completed the first honey extraction of the season.

Karadeniz noted that this year's honey yield has exceeded expectations, marking the start of the harvest as flowers begin to wilt. He emphasized the importance of timely honey collection, stating, “Flowers are drying up. We are nearing the end of the season. If we don't harvest the honey on time, the bees will start consuming their own production.”
