Following meteorological warnings, beekeepers in Kars have adopted an unusual method to protect their hives by placing heavy stones on them. The Turkish State Meteorological Service issued alerts for heavy rain, hail, and storms in the Kars region. In response, beekeepers Ertaş Kurum and Nedim Koç, operating in the Kaçköy area of Arpaçay district, implemented a traditional technique they have used for years to safeguard their hives from potential damage.
