Matthew McConaughey has compelling reasons for choosing "The Rivals of Amziah King," a honey-flavored thriller set in the American Southwest, marking his return to the big screen after a five-year hiatus. In an interview with AFP, he highlighted the film's joy, soul, humor, music, poetry, and originality, as it premieres in the U.S. on August 14. Directed and written by Andrew Patterson and distributed by Black Bear, the film features McConaughey as Amziah, a charismatic local honey producer who balances tending to his hives with playing banjo in a folk band with friends and neighbors.
