Ağrı Governor Önder Bozkurt announced that 4,000 beehives will be distributed to local producers to enhance beekeeping in the region. During a honey harvest event in Çakıroba village, he also projected an expected production of approximately 357 tons of geographically marked geven honey this season.

Governor Bozkurt, along with local officials and the president of the Ağrı Beekeepers Union, participated in the honey harvest where the region's beekeeping potential and new support for producers were discussed. He emphasized that Ağrı's rich vegetation and highlands provide significant advantages for quality honey production, particularly from plants like geven and bull thistle, which are vital food sources for bees in July and August.
