The Golden Hive Project, initiated in Mersin to enhance beekeeping and strengthen rural production, continues to grow with its model that spans from support to production. Managed by the Mersin Metropolitan Municipality, the project provides beekeepers with hives and equipment, while the new colonies produced by these beekeepers will serve as resources for future phases of the project. The initiative aims not only to increase honey production but also to bolster the rural economy and support the role of bees in the agricultural ecosystem.
