Balat, a married father of two from Fesleğen Mahallesi, was introduced to beekeeping as a child while assisting his father. After his father's passing in 2019, he continued the family tradition, contributing to their livelihood through beekeeping. He expressed his long-standing interest in the craft, recalling trips to Ankara as a migratory beekeeper with his father, who practiced beekeeping for about 20 years before his death. "When he passed away, we continued his legacy. The bees are my inheritance from him, and I want to carry on beekeeping as much as I can," Balat stated.
