The beekeeping community in the region has reached a significant milestone with the inauguration of an expanded teaching apiary in Oberburg last Saturday. Many guests, including club members and interested individuals, took the opportunity to view the successful project. Pia Buri, president of the Unteremmentalischer Bienenfreunde association, opened the event, welcoming attendees such as community representatives, partners, media, construction firms, and the Bichsel landowning family. She expressed gratitude to all financial supporters of the apiary's expansion before handing the floor to project leader Fritz Held, who collaborated with planner and architect Urs Willen on the west-side addition.
