The National Lottery dedicated its Superior Draw 2895 to the National Bee Day in Maní, Yucatán, where support was provided to meliponiculturists and the environmental, economic, and cultural significance of beekeeping was acknowledged. The event highlighted the crucial role of bees in pollination, ecosystem conservation, and food production, as well as the economic and cultural value of beekeeping for rural communities in Mexico. National Bee Day was officially established on August 17 through a decree published in the Federal Official Gazette in 2019.
